i'm dying over these nails right meow


My favorite nail design to-date!! They just make me squeal with joy!

Lately, I've been REALLY into designing nail art. I say "designing nail art" because, well, I'm not the one actually doing the painting, but I sketch out the design to show the artist what I'd like for her to paint. I've been SO lucky to have found one of the most talented nail artists in the world... because I would NEVER be able to do this on my own! I could never even really paint my nails... so thank god for gel polish. 

Anyway, so the other day I went to the salon with this design in mind. AND I FREAKING DIED OVER THE END-RESULT. I look at my nails, like, 248579457 times a day. The color- perfect. The shape- perfect. The designs- PURRFECT. The kitten nail took her 45 minutes to do!! BUT IT'S SO GOOD! I was just sitting there, wide-eyed- the entire time. And then when she did my name in cursive I was like, "Ok, she's good... but I really don't think she'll be able to do this!". AND THEN.... YOU GUYS- SHE DID IT. hahaha ^_^ When I hold my hands together, it's supposed to be basically be my full name- "Kalel Kitten", which I thought was super cute. 

Btw, I know a lot of people hate pointy nails... but step back, because they are FLAWLESS.

    Aw these are super kawaii!! lol I like how you got them shaped this time! I think they are just the right amount of point and I like that you went with neutral color, very classy. :3 And that's so awesome that you designed this yourself and that your nail artist was able to do it for you! I never realized that you could get the gel shellac nails with a deign too. I am I definitely going to ask when I get my nails done again. Thanks for sharing! And I hope all is well with Anthony's recovery and that he heals quick. :)

    LOVE THEM! These are super cute!
    45 minutes though!? I would probably get really bored.. your nail artist IS super talented though! So I guess the end result is worth the wait!
    I don't know why people don't like the pointy nails, I really like them!

      haha, thank you!!! I actually haven't gotten my hair done in about 6 months! I'm letting my natural color grow in and I've been cutting my bangs myself. But I used to go to the Bungalow Salon over on Beverly Blvd!

      It depends on where you live. I live in NYC and fake nails are really cheap (40-50 initially, 25 fill, extra 10-20 for designs) because there is so much competition. For reference, a regular manicure is 8 bucks here.

    Personally I do not really like pointy nails but AAAAAH they look PURFECT on your nails! > u < ♥ The text is just definitely very gorgeous and the cat nail one... omg i can't even handle this pawesomeness! ♥♥ Absolutely gorgeous design!

    I love them!! I recently started getting my nails done this shape as well! I was so partial to square tips, but I think almond is becoming more popular! I find them way easier to deal with than long squared nails, too! :) The neutral color you went with is beautiful too.

    I have been trying to figure out for ages what your nails remind me of and I finally figured out that they look like Sailor Moon's nails. They are shaped exactly how her nails look during her transformation. Even though I have never liked pointed nails on me I think they look incredible :)

    If they had been super long or very sharp pointe, I might have had an issue (as in, not liked it, not that you would have to care, or would care anyways), but that shape is just adorable, and fits so nice together with the design. So cute! :D And such skille, wow. Even the base color would be as good as impossible to get so nice. I would smear it all ower ^^" And ruin it with my impatiance afterwards anyways ^^"
