spring shoesies

I have found THE perfect spring shoes.

Mint pastel jellies! Oh how cute and spring-appropiate are these? They bring childhood memories of carnivals, cotton candy and flower gardens. But I just LOVE how they also have a mature-vibe at the same time. PERFECTION.

So far they are quite comfy, but hopefully they aren't the kind of shoe where you don't realize that they were crafted by satan until you've walked in them for over an hour. I think about 90% of the shoes that I've purchased in my adult life have just been SO painful. I really wish more shoes were designed with comfort AND style in mind. Someday… someday.

I bought these at American Apparel and they were only $24.00! I actually just filmed a spring haul video (will be up tuesday or wednesday) and mentioned them in it… but I just couldn't wait to share! Also, on the note of videos… WOW. Thank you so much for all the love on my last video! Now I REALLY feel motivated to continue posting them! ^_^

(for anyone who feels confused about the photo from this post, I lifted my feet to my ceiling (which is draped with fabric) and I like to photoshop little images into the negative space… adds a little sprinkle of sugar, I feel!)

    1. I've gotten to the point where I MUST wear flip-flops to amusement parks. I always think my shoes are going to be ok, but I'm basically crying after 2-3 hours. It's so awful! Why do we do this to ourselves?! haha <3

  5. I love it! And I am amazed by the editing work you did on the background. When I first saw it I definitely imagined you walking on some sort of glass/water flooring. *^-^* Your posts just make me feel so happy and inspired <333

  6. Those shoes are adorable <3 Definitely something that is a must in my spring wardrobe this year!
I hope they aren't Satan shoes too! They are too cute to be crafted by Satan :)

  7. I just simply adore those shoes so much! The color not only reminds me of spring, but my favorite carebear from when i was a little girl. If anyone remembers the carebear Wish Bear -the mint green bear with the shooting star on her tummy?- then yeah these shoes remind me of her! They look pretty comfy and very dreamy -from what the picture shows-

  10. Love these! I wonder if I can find some similar in the UK?

Also I have the same shoe pain issues! It's so hard to find shoes that don't rub against the backs of my ankles. I hope they prove to be a comfy pair ^_^

Those shoes are cute, ideed! And about the confort, you are totally right, it's so hard to find a shoe that is beautiful/stylish and confortable! The worst part of it is going out thinking you are pretty and everything, and one hour later walking like an penguin because of the pain hahahaha!

  19. Hi Kalel, first of all I just wanted to say that keep doing what you're doing, because it's just brilliant and you have now motivated me to do vlogs, which I will be doing very soon! From your style to your bedroom decor to your personality, you are awesome and I hope one day I can meet you! ♡

  20. Those are absolutely lovely!! And the minty colour and cut outs made them quite elegant<33 I think my shoe size is between 6.5-7, and it's different for every pair I wear. Sometimes both size feel awkward. I guess my feet are just rebels like that pahahaha!! I started to feel like wearing heels when I turned 15, but I just have so much trouble with them even until now that I'm 18! I know they say that practice makes perfect, but I do think there is quite a huge difference between heels that are easier to walk in and the ones that aren't. And usually the heels I can afford for a student like me aren't at all comfy . I'll wait till the day I can afford pricey but easier-to-walk-in heels, but for now I'm sticking to combat boots and creepers ;)
P.S. I wish we have American Apparel in our country! I'm always drooling over all those American shopping websites ahahaha! I would love to shop there one day<3

  25. Loving the shoes Kalel! I actually bought some jellies the other day, exactly like the ones I wore as a kid. Like you I'm slightly concerned they may give me blisters from hell; but I wore them as a kid with no blisters so hey ho!

Also never feel demotivated not to continue what you're doing! I'm loving everything about Frilly and Fancy, and feel that your videos are more personal as you're basically letting us into your life and home.
    Keep it up! :) xoxo

  26. This shoes really does look nice! The only sandals that I have and that are comfortable, originally were craft by satan, haha. First time I used them it really hurt, but now I think my feet is used (?), so now if I want some sandals, I just go for melissa!

And please, keep posting, your blog is so so beautiful and somewhat magical, haha :3

  27. Just know there are people who genuinely love your videos and blog posts :) I'm a sucker for everything kawaii and pastel, and your style steals my heart. There are too many people who are so obsessed with your personal life that they don't even take the time to see all the hard work you put into your blog/videos. Don't let them get you down! There are lots of us who really appreciate your creativity. <3

  34. Girl, I feel your pain and I know the struggle... the struggle to find shoes that are as nice to wear as they are to look at. I work in an office so I typically have to wear fancy-shmancy shoes that leave me with blisters and sore feet. It's so frustrating... how hard can it be to make something that both looks nice an doesn't make me want to cut my foot off at the ankle?
I can't wait for the fashion line you're designing (how's that going by the way, is it still coming along?) because if you ever decide to dabble in shoes I bet they'll have the best of both worlds.

  35. I love those shoes! And your comment about shoes being made by satan killed me.

  40. I LOVE YOU KALEL!!!!!! Just one question beautiful, how much does Anthony make from SMOSH? Some people say "You can't live off of Youtube" and others say "SMOSH make over two million a week!" I am very confused. Anywho, I love you and you are an amazing person.
